The Super Power of Good Vibrations...

This article looks at the impact vibrations can have on our feelings of well-being.  It also looks at ways to expose ourselves to, or create good vibrations.

The Impact of Vibration...

Milky Way Galaxy
Vibrations are all around us and within us. We are a vibration. We see ourselves as a merger of  pulses coming from the place in the Universe where modern science says all life emerged and those electromagnetic pulses coming from the earth.

In this sense we are like an antenna, picking up and assimilating vibrations.

Quick Summary...
Vibrations have power and we can use them to get healing. Exposure to positive harmonious vibrations like music or walks through nature or practices like singing and chanting are examples of healing with vibrations. Emitting positive vibrations in unison with a group can have far-reaching impact. Exposure to negative, disharmonious vibrations like loud sirens and construction sounds can harm us, and like poor quality or toxic food, we should avoid them. Additionally, a visit to a resort environment can also expose us to positive vibes and be a healing force.

Disharmonious Environments Affect us Negatively:
Moving through modern society, especially urban cultures, we are continually picking up local, artificial,

man-made vibrations. We experience these as "disharmonious."  Large tractor-trailers, jack hammers, vehicles with modified or no exhaust systems, lawn mowers,  air conditioning units, construction vehicles with loud warning beeps and weed whackers fit into this category.

Disharmonious vibrations also affect us outside the range of our senses.  These include microwave and macro wave transmissions such as cell towers, electricity towers, defense weapons and even projects emitting world-wide vibrations such as  HARP.

Understanding the Pain is for Real...
Some vibrations can be painful depending on the sensitivity of the individual.  More sensitive perception  equals more pain.  When we feel pain, it is a basic indicator that we are experiencing a cascade of unhealthy physiological events inside of us.  Our instinct is to move away.

Higher Creativity Creates More Sensitivity...
The sensitive artist, writer, musician, entrepreneur, innovator, creator, etc. has the capacity to feel life and the vibes of the culture. This forms the basis for their artistic creations.

Consequently, viewing a high sensitivity to these disharmonious vibrations as a weakness or flaw is a great way to deny our unique and gifted capacity to "feel" our way along the right path. When we feel, our entire mind/body is feeling via every molecule. And our basic cells know only two responses: Move toward it, because it is nourishing; or move away from it because it is toxic!

We try to pay attention to our sensitive feelings. We view them as a gift, not a flaw.

Harmonious Environments Affect us Positively...
Just as disharmonious environments affect us negatively, when we travel through nature and encounter beautiful meadows, streams, hills, mountains, plants, trees, animals and animal sound, we feel positive vibes.
Absolute stillness, on the slim occasions we find it, is for us the most positive "vibe" of all.

Visual appeal Seems to be a Cue...

We are not sure what comes first in these harmonious environments. Is it the visual beauty, a vibrational frequency only being picked up by our sight or are the vibrations coming from other frequencies we also feel with our bodies?  We would need a scientific analysis to answer that one. We are sure about one thing though: "If it looks good, it feels good too." Likewise, traveling through rundown urban or country settings that do not look good do not feel good to us either.

We Often Visit Positive-Vibe Natural Environments to Feel Better...

Ocean Waves Have Vibrations
When we visit  resorts,  "good vibes" abound.  It's amazing just how much our mood can change from a few days at a beach resort!  These are settings where experts in hospitality, recreation, harmonious landscaping and architecture create man-made positive vibrations combined with those coming from the natural setting.

Positive Vibrations can Also be Entirely Man-Made...
Man can also make harmonious, positive vibrations using his own body.  When we vocalize we are using the vibrations from body parts and body cavities.  Our vocalizations are colored by our mood.  When we are in a good mood our vocal vibrations are harmonious. Bad mood equals disharmonious vocalizations.

Ever want to move away from someone the moment they start speaking?  We pay attention to that.

Man May Extend his own Positive Vibrations with Vibrational Instruments...
When man extends his body with instruments of vibration, those ranging from pipes, to stretched skins, to strings, to metals and woods, he can make more complex healing vibrations.
musical instrument
When we expose ourselves to this harmonious, melodious music, we are healing ourselves.

Dr Candace Pert, in her audio recording, "To Feel Go(o)d," points out that exposure to harmonious sounds is very high on the list of actions that can make us feel good.

Additionally, the drama/documentary, The Story of the Weeping Camel, is a powerful illustration of the healing power a shamanic healer can wield with just a musical instrument.  It's a story about a mother camel, traumatized after giving birth, who refuses to nurture her newly birthed colt.  The shaman is called in and using a musical instrument, heals her to the point that she weeps. (The young colt is also pretty happy to finally get fed from it's mother's milk, we might add.)

Large Groups Practicing Positive Vibrations can Have Large Geographic Impact...
The monastic traditions observe prayer and chant at roughly 3 hour intervals throughout the day and night. Their chants are filled with gratitude and appreciation. These vibration are said to impact what many scientist call the sacred matrix (the field or space between all matter). Deepak Chopra refers to this as the quantum soup of pure potential.

The larger the group, the larger the impact on this field and the larger the positive effects on all living things.

An Example of How the Law of Attraction May Actually Work...
Scientist Gregg Braden, in his lectures on ancient understandings of the human heart, points out that in broad, general terms, the concept of attracting things is related to this concept of creating vibration through chanting and other heart-related practices such as gratitude and appreciation.
;
We understand his concept this way: The  law of attraction  may
not be so much about attracting things with thought.  It may be more about creating things by emitting charged "templates" from our hearts. This comes through practices such as chanting, meditation or the Buddhist concept of mindfulness (being present to the moment). These are practices that take us away from thinking to a centered place in our hearts. When we are focused there, the deepest intention of our heart can impact the field of pure potential with charged vibrations.

The field then "mirrors" this back to us as a reality.
Hard to realize that those humble monks tucked away in their remote sanctuaries are each and every day holding together the world by generating joy, gratitude and appreciation! But this could be one of the great secrets of ancient religious practice.

In Summary...

Thought provoking. Food can also affect one's vibration level as well. All very interesting.

Thanks for commenting. What you say seems so true. The vibrational effect of food, especially when it's prepared by caring hands, is probably a subject worthy of an article of it's own.
